Released in 2022 as a Global Travel Retail exclusive, the Bowmore “The Changeling” 22 Year Old is the second chapter in Bowmore’s celebrated collaboration with acclaimed Glasgow graphic artist Frank Quitely (Vincent Deighan). The bottle and box feature Quitely’s vivid illustration of the ancient Islay folklore myth of The Changeling – a tale of a blacksmith’s son replaced by a fairy impostor – rendered in the artist’s distinctive graphic style. Limited to just 6,667 bottles worldwide, it is a highly desirable collector’s piece for both whisky enthusiasts and fans of Quitely’s iconic artwork.

Bowmore Master Blender Ron Welsh crafted this expression to mirror the transformation at the heart of the story. The whisky spent 20 years maturing in American oak hogsheads from Bowmore’s legendary No. 1 Vaults – the oldest maturation warehouse in Scotland, built partly below sea level – before undergoing its own transformation with a two-year finish in white port casks. This final stage introduces a light, floral and fruited dimension that lifts the signature Islay character.

Bottled at cask strength (51.2% ABV), non-chill filtered, and presented in a beautifully illustrated collector’s box. This bottle is sealed and unopened, in perfect presentation condition.
