Heritage & Detailing
The Red & Blue Collection was released as a nostalgic tribute to the Pokémon franchise’s original Red and Blue video games, and its centrepiece promo was this full-art Charizard EX, illustrated by acclaimed Pokémon TCG artist Kouki Saitou. Full-art EX promos from this era are prized for combining dramatic illustration with EX-era gameplay mechanics, making them enduringly popular with both players and collectors.
High-grade examples of XY121 continue to attract strong demand, with PSA 10 and BGS 10 (Pristine) prices having risen sharply in recent years. A BGS 9 with sub-grades of this strength offers a genuinely attractive entry point into one of the most iconic modern Charizard promos, without the premium commanded by a perfect gem-mint example.
Condition & Presentation
This card is professionally graded BGS 9 (Mint) and sealed in its original tamper-evident Beckett holder, with sub-grades of Centering 9.5, Corners 8.5, Edges 9 and Surface 9 as shown on the label. Certification number 0014709336 is verifiable directly with Beckett.
