Heritage & Detailing
The HeartGold & SoulSilver era marked a major nostalgia-driven moment for the Pokémon franchise, tying the TCG’s promotional cycle to the remakes of the original Gold and Silver video games. This Pikachu was distributed as a Black Star Promo included in the HeartGold & SoulSilver Three Pack Blisters, alongside a Wobbuffet promo, making it a genuinely retail-exclusive card rather than a standard set pull.
As Pokémon’s mascot, Pikachu promo cards consistently draw crossover demand from both dedicated Pikachu collectors and promo-era completionists, and the relatively limited nature of this blister-exclusive release gives it an edge over Pikachu prints from mainline set boosters.
Condition & Presentation
This card is professionally graded CGC 9 (Mint) and sealed in its original tamper-evident CGC holder, exactly as pictured. Certification number 6146931122 is verifiable directly with CGC.
Why RareFind Rates This Piece Rare & Collectable
RareFind rates this as a highly collectable HGSS-era promo. This holo promo combines classic Pikachu appeal with a relatively limited promotional release, making it a favourite among both Pikachu collectors and promo enthusiasts. A CGC 9 offers an excellent balance between condition, rarity and long-term collectability for a card featuring the Pokémon franchise’s mascot. A well-presented, accessible entry point for any Pikachu or promo-era collection.
