Released in 2020, Edition Nº 6 is the sixth and final chapter in The Macallan’s acclaimed Edition Series. Whisky Maker Steven Bremner drew inspiration from the River Spey and the natural landscape of the Easter Elchies Estate, hand-selecting five sherry-seasoned cask types — each named after a story connected to the river. Created in collaboration with Hardy (the legendary fly fishing brand), The Macallan’s Ghillie Robert Mitchell, and the Atlantic Salmon Trust, this is a rare closing release bottled at 48.6% ABV.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich fresh fruits, nutmeg, ginger, toffee and dark chocolate with vanilla and warm oak. Hints of plum, fig and raisin with an inviting spiced depth.
Palate: Plum, sweet orange, cinnamon and nutmeg. Balanced oak and toffee with a creamy texture and soft oat notes. Full-bodied and rewarding.
Finish: Long and warming. Fresh fruit with spices that evolve into creamy chocolate and toasted oats. A richly satisfying close.
