Heritage & Detailing
Ultimate Wolverine launched in 2025 as part of Marvel’s relaunched Ultimate Universe — a fresh, standalone continuity separate from the mainline Earth-616, kicked off in 2024 by Jonathan Hickman and Stefano Caselli’s Ultimate Invasion and expanded through Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate X-Men, and Ultimate Black Panther. Written by Chris Condon with covers and interior art by Alessandro Cappuccio, this issue reintroduces Wolverine and Logan’s backstory from the ground up within that new universe, making it one of the line’s flagship character launches.
As a first issue tied to one of Marvel’s biggest ongoing publishing initiatives, and carrying dual signatures from both the writer and artist rather than a single-creator autograph, this copy sits at the intersection of a modern key issue and a genuine Signature Series collectible.
Condition & Presentation
Encapsulated by CGC in a Signature Series (yellow label) holder and graded 9.6 NM+ with white pages. Both signatures are clean and legible on the cover, with Condon’s playful “SNIKT” remark adding a personalized touch beyond a standard autograph. The slab shows a bright, unmarked cover with sharp corners and a square spine, consistent with the near-mint 9.6 grade.
Why RareFind Rates This Piece Rare & Collectable
This copy carries dual hand signatures from both the writer and the artist, plus a personalized “SNIKT” remark from Chris Condon — a step up from a single generic autograph and independently authenticated by CGC. As the launch issue of Marvel’s high-profile Ultimate Universe relaunch, it appeals to both Wolverine collectors and readers following the new Ultimate line from its first issue.
